He didn't even need to follow it around and find out who it replaced, since he was obviously too weak to fight it, but he could at least tell a teacher what he saw or something. What if it replaces one of the heroes!?

Also, if he reported, they would just look for the monster and find nothing. Or does he need to report that monster is a shapeshifter too. Then how did he know ? Will he say that because he look for the info in a book no one can read ? They would just think he is crazy

people saying he can't report it cause it's too strong or they won't trust him cause he's weak/doesn't know it:
why are there no security guards in the first place? or any other staff for that matter (nothing even remotely nearby? not even cameras?)
he can sneak out and just show it to someone nearby (and if there's no one nearby, why is he allowed on the premises right now?) this one kinda makes sense if he's trying to avoid some rando charging at it, but there's some staff that would at least tackle the problem in a calm manner (he left the school building meaning some staff should still be there)
He could at least consider following it a bit more, cause it's better to have an idea of who it's taking over, instead of just leaving that up to chance. Tho I do wonder how it'll even be able to single out a specific person to replace lol
