Because of the Article he had read, which covered what happened, but people considered it as a wild theory.
That's probably what was reported to him.
I think MC is right and there is more to this story than is being presented, but who knows what. It doesn't change the fact that she has a grudge against MC and she had something to do with his dad's death.
She did everything to herself at the end of the day because she chose to go with some other rando than stick with her friend. You can't get angry and blame everyone else because you made poor decisions.

To me its more like she got sexually assaulted or groomed, I mean she had feelings for him in highschool but then suddenly she starts hanging out with this old dude because of power reasons and not only that she MARRIES THE SAME DUDE?!??!

That's a possibility but just an assumption. Without more information that's like telling me that maybe there was mind control magic utilized. Anything is possible. Maybe this isn't the same person, she was kidnapped and replaced with a body double. Or maybe she was possessed with a demon, etc etc.
Or maybe she is just evil and she wasn't groomed, but rather is the one who actively courted and desired more power and got into the good graces of that other guy and was just incredibly selfish and was angry she couldn't string every men she was interested in to be subservient to her.
As of right now, the only clear information we have is that she definitely ruined people's lives and we have no clear knowledge of the reason behind it.

Like @ScryedParadox said above, it really wasn't presented that way. To me it seemed to suggest she actively whored herself out to put herself into a more powerful position and to benefit her career. But either way, zero sympathy - if the principal's story is true then she's 100% irredeemable, regardless of whether or not she was groomed.

Very true. I'm making an assumption largely based on the fact that she currently seems to be trying to straight up murder a couple of high school kids lol. Of course it could turn out to not be her at all, but so far this manga doesn't seem likely to me to have that sort of twist to it. So far it's been the case of the MC getting his new overpowered weapon/skill exactly when he needs to use it, not the most nuanced writing in the world lmao.
