Viola is the second character that Al couldn't break. She didn't fare as well as the first one though. Roy managed to reverse the tide of "battle". :meguusmug:

kinda hoped that, before leaving, MC had cut Viola free from the tentacles and told her something cheesy. like that "when she inevitably gets into a similar situation to him, where the kingdom and all the people she fought so hard to protect, turn against her. that she immediately run without looking back, straight to him. because they are still her friends and allies, even if they have the world to fight against.."

Outside of the obvious comments about tentacle assault, can we all discuss the real problem here? This damn manga spent over YEAR of publication time on ONE battle!!!

Even considering the slow release rate, thatā€™s just stupid. One battle taking over a year of publication, and the end of said battle has no resolution content for the protagonists. Just a shitty version of hentai at the end.

This isnā€™t graphic enough to be hentai. Itā€™s not action filled enough to be an adventure plot. Dragonball Z stretches time and plot less than this. I canā€™t continue with this one. Itā€™s slow released bullshit.

Meh, I was hoping it won't go like that but had the feeling they will.

I kinda like this sort of respect they had with each other, to the point Blum are disturbed with Al's thingy.
Honestly I was hoping this would happen. It would show some character growth for her and Blum.

And I do feel like Blum is noticing that Al is slowly losing his mind to the new power he has. Blum needs to surround himself with Allies now.

That is a bit long.

I would have been satisfied with: "When the whole world turns their backs on you, come find me."

I really, really hate to break this to you, Al, but you haven't understood the first thing about Viola's rule. If the empire has a population of a million people, Viola would have no qualms whatsoever about leading a hundred thousand of them to their certain death if the imperial family told her to do so. Because, according to Viola's rule, the demise of the 100k would save the 900k. Would it really be necessary to sacrifice them to save the 900k? It doesn't matter because she's the one to make that decision, and she will make it any way she wants to.

I like this manga, I really do, but the author's complete and utter lack of understanding of some basic concepts is quite annoying.

The holy knight Viola can't turn a blind eye to the suffering of the people.
ā€”Viola's supposed rule
I trust her to never break that one rule of hers
ā€”Al, about Viola's supposed rule
Except she already did multiple times. Are Beatrice and Mion not people? Does their suffering not count? Viola KNEW that she was leading them to death, but she was justifying it by saying that not killing them could lead to a civil war.

Justice? Don't make me laugh. I'll repeat what I said in the previous chapter's commentsā€”Viola is NOT the holy knight of justice. She's a piece of shit holy knight of radical utilitarianism. She weighs the worth of people's lives and decides whether killing them is worth it or not.

The correct rule for "Viola, the Prince's Dog of Radical Utilitarianism" would be:
The prince's dog Viola can't turn a blind eye to the suffering of the MAJORITY of people,
and will execute the minority to ensure their happiness.

Its probably time to drop this manga. The overall premise is great: former heroes take over the role of dungeon keepers to disgrace challengers...it's just a shame the manga does such a bad job with it. Pacing is horrible. We went through a +10 chapter fight filled to the brim with with exposition and explanations. "Yeah you lost the fight because I used this and that ability" "my plan was to do this tactic because of this and that"... proceed to explains fictional combat mechanics for the next several chapters. After that we only got FIVE molesting tentacle pages...

If this is meant as an ero manga, it fails at every part. Honestly Parallel Paradise did a better job in that regard.

Yeah I agree. As I've also commented, writing and pacing of this series is very mid, or worse. And it even fails at the ero tag. To bad because the premise had a lot of potential.
