This was such a great moment for Ais, finding her own answer to the Xenos and finally learning to control Avenger in the process. I was excited to see her grow even more as a character after this arc.
Instead it seems like she was put on ice through MS vol.16-19 and SO vol.13 (and probably 14). It feels like she's become a true background character now more than ever before in the story.
