I actually love this series so much. It's so hype. I recommend watching the Danmemo Part 4 Anniversary Story, Aedes Vesta, paying special attention to part 3. Hestia Familia doesn't just have Bell, they're all out-of-standard nascent heroes with the potential to surpass the will of the gods

The first one was still good. I was not a fan of how they tamed it down, ruining lefiya in the process. Nor was I a fan of the absolute horrid voice they gave lefiya, ruining lefiya in the process. Which hurst particularly considering lefiya is the star of sword oratoria. And had tons of other minor stuff I was not a fan of. But overall, I still liked it and would happily see more seasons of it.

I disagreed, until they brought hestia familia into the mix. You can't bring the main-cast into an original storyline in the spin-off (that is entirely absent in the parent story), and have them actually do noteworthy stuff. The worst part is lily actually having character development here.

I have a much, much lower opinion, to the point of preferring the anime not existing.

I mean, it is not like I don't understand your opinion. Like someone else somewhere else put it (paraphrasing): they essentially ruined every character in the loki-familia, mainly by removing any and all of their internal motivations and even dialing down a lot of the extrinsic ones too. And through that turned a story with depth and engaging storylines for a lot of the characters, into an utterly flat yuri-romcom. (edit/addendum from me: where the harem-protagonist (lefiya) is an annoying little shit with the most grating voice ever)

It is just that I still like both shallow yuri-romcoms and trashekais (and I know this is fantasy and not isekai, but it is similar enough) too, particularly considering how iirc the OSTs were still quite good. But if you don't happily consume good-quality trash, then I totally get why you would hate it. And considering it is a really really poor adaptation that ruins its source-material, I most definitely get why you would even go as far as to actively wish it never existed in the first place.
