I don't know where the author is gonna take this, but the last panel could also mean he's going to re-try the vampire route to lure out the hero. In one of his past regressions the moment he tried to approach the vampire the hero instantly killed her so maybe he thinks he might have a chance defeating her this time.

I didn't think he had it in him, if he was really smart he would have made a save point before sex.

No, lol. He does escape the dungeon and gets revenge, but that's when the real tragedies kick off.

I will say it gets interesting because his objectives become bigger than survival, and he actually starts winning fights without brute forcing them.
