There are so many parallels between the Witch and Dawoon though each of them had different ways to cope and their situations turned out differently.
Both were treated as "outcasts", being forced to defy the world's laws or are treated as existences that should not have existed--the Witch by the people and Dawoon by the system.
They were both isolated and trapped in hopeless, lonely situations. Both of them ended up befriending the most unlikely beings--even those that might be hostile creatures to them.
And despite being best at what they're good at, they were also ironically the weakest, most helpless of humans.
Dawoon is averse to killing his fellow players--even befriending that pyromaniac guy (rip), and so far, the early memories of the Witch through Memory as well as Bahamut's recollection showed that the Witch herself seemed to be pure of heart, though whether time has changed her for the worse remains to be seen.
Something tells me that perhaps Rabbit's memories hold the answers to everything, but perhaps that's the point of his existence in the first place--to live as the memory of the Witch's purity and innocence.
