This comment 100% biased so don't take to your heart if it's not aligned with yours.

The girl (heroine) looks similar to yui from nisekoi (well, this manga also authored by the same person).
Hatefully, remembering how the author made all the girls broken hearth-ed made me ******. It really touched me in the wrong spot. I love all the girls, and each personification they had. But, In the end, they were just fillers and then to be shattered by author. So, I will not read any manga he created anymore, and will spread this hatred as long as I live (well, he did lost nothing from my saying though, but hopefully sometimes in the future ? )

I actually like Nisekoi's ending mmm...
And so far this one seems better, at least it has a nice theme of esports mmm...

Btw esports scene in Japan is pretty small mostly because esports always related to gambling and Japan regulation only allow certain type of gambling mmm...

If this gets serialized. Author kun will add like 5 more to the harem. Making the esports thing totally secondary. We know that from his previous one shots...

@Ihcky: Wait... what?

What I know from his old one-shots is that he used to write good stuff. (All of those have been bundled up and thrown in the anthology Koi no Kami-sama these days, it looks like?)

Then he got serialized once, made something wholesome, it got canned.

Then he got serialized a second time, made a shameless harem, rode that wave for 25 volumes, never looked back, and has been writing ecchi/harem stuff ever since.

So I was, conversely, actually kind of curious if he'd revert to his old ways for one-shots. This has no chapters and the only other one-shot since Nisekoi I'm aware of has a Tragedy tag that I'm not willing to touch. But it seems to have been taken down here and a lot of places...

Edit: Having found a rehosting site skanky enough to be hosting it already/still: This feels... well, mostly like a promotional piece for e-Sports, like it says on the tin. It does get interesting right near the end, but the ploys it uses to grab on heartstrings feel a bit cheap... Not sure what to think.

...Also, that "Romance" tag is completely unmerited and I'm removing it. There was not a single scrap of romance in it. You can take that subtext away from it from a guy and a girl becoming rivals-and-besties if you want, but... Like, if she was a guy, no one would have accused this of being gay. Does it get emotional at the end? Yes. Is it romance? No.

@Pokari I mean... you said it yourself. He never looked back and has been writing ecchi/harem stuff ever since. And thus my expectations. :(

I personally loved the Nisekoi oneshot and wished the serialization would be remotely close to it. Big disappointment. But as long as harem sells no matter the rating they will continue.
