By default I kind of assume the translator just didn't know? (In which case I feel kind of bad)

Though sometimes Naver's official translators also make translation decisions that are appalling (e.g. I hope the scanlators for Super Secret continues their fine work, because the official translation whitewashed everything and I can't stand it... "Emma" and "Ryan" my arse... Just like the bad old days of official anime/manga translations.)
