more characters should be written like bolic, it's so much better than "muahaha i am le evil!" villains that are pure evil and the narrative spends so much time on the hero humiliating them, it reflects a really childish resentment in the writer or audience, some childhood bully trauma or something that they just need to get over already

He's a good character but I'd make my stand about more protagonists like Gaikaku, he's a researcher after results nothing more nothing less though taking the less corpse-filled path to achieve results marks him as likeable by many people, he will never sacrifice his live or minions for the "good".

In the novel and I guess the next chapter, she low-key threatens Gaikaku with an official investigation in case he refuses. He's scared AF because she's one of the few people that can actually corner him.

I though like many people here this was going to be a mindless harem but the novel is lot better than the title suggests, Gaikaku's inventions and techniques mean a lot more to the story than simple macguffins to make him OP.
