i much prefer the type of claw machines where you have to pay roughly the price of whatever's inside, but in return you get unlimited tries until you manage to win it - it's still a claw machine but without the semi-gambling aspect of it, and you can be fairly certain that they aren't rigged to make you lose since you get unlimited tries either way so there's an incentive to actually make it as easy to win as possible so that you free up the machine as fast as possible for the next paying customer.
