Wasn't kawasaki supposed to have brown hair in chapter 1 color page? why is her hair blonde now?
Chapter 1 included an official color illustration.

The one in this chapter was colorized by somebody that didn't bother (or didn't care) finding out what the right colors should be.

EDIT: I rather find out that they don't actually like him and are trying to get closer so they can separate him from the witch, so is actually the two of them against the world.
Likewise; that would be a big improvement. Even that hideously-over-the-top-pornservicey harem about "Adam" or some :poop: who has super-seductive powers, fighting against the Semen Demons or Fetus or whatever the organization called themselves, had a more interesting "plot" than what this turned into. 😒
(Sorry for the extreme example, somehow your wording sparked a connection in my subconscious… and sadly, it's still true.)

Edit: Found the name because it was bugging me, NOT a recommendation: Shishunki na Adam.

Ah yes, that was already in my Dropped list.
Is cynic to say, but is like some writers go on auto-pilot and forget what the premise was, I am surprised that monster girl Manga with the teacher protagonist is finally making the Isekai plotpoint relevant.
This could always turn into another light beam spam story as well, but I'd wish for the magic aspect to remain somewhat subdued, like with Magical Realism, it could always turn out that these 2 friends were mages in the previous life....

Back to talking about the chapter, I wonder how sound his logic is, I mean he wants the Witch to make friends, so he organizes this thing, but is pretty clear that the female friend is just using it as an excuse to get closer to him, so not really interested in becoming the witch's friend, so is this really the best course of action?

Indeed. Some of the things they say and do feel so arbitrary/contradictory/nonsensical, I wouldn't be too surprised if the mangaka ran out of time to come up with a plot for this chapter… so he played dollies with a few precocious kindergarteners for inspiration.
