This is too much for my blood sugar level..
Can't believe the elf would stay loyal after 100 years
Maybe I read too much of NTR + Revenge trash isekai
im the same, my brain has been fried from all the random isekai slop i have read over the years, frankly i am shocked the fmc didn't show up with a bunch of kids, or her implying she had a little fun with some of the party members while she waited.

Extremely similar premise of a manwha I've read, major difference being this one is happy instead of depressing. I mean this MC wakes up and everyone minus his elf wife is dead and he's like OH BOY AINT THIS GREAT.

Is this the start of a new trope where the MC gets frozen into the future cus he gets poisoned/injured.

Tolkien did it first.
Tolkein still did it properly because Aragor and Beren were exceptional humans in the moral sense.
Also I don't care. Still tired of Elves being used as either Oriental or Noble Savage tropes in manga.

From the beginning, elves have been depicted as more "in tune" with the natural world than humans. Even if you look at the Fae as well, they're more part of the magic and spiritual world than humans are. So the "noble savage" as you put it is not really too inaccurate to use on Elves. They've always been "different" in some way or another from humanity. Though I would like to see Elf female, human male but i guess that just doesn't appeal to audiences, and it seems like female readers in Japan aren't into fantasy (A lot of them do seem to be into NTR though which is why it's so popular)

We had a lot of fantasy anime/manga during the 90s/early 2000s which were made by and/or appealed to women and girls (e.g Magic Knight Rayearth, Inu Yasha, Fullmetal Alchemist, etc.). Maybe the reason female readers in Japan don't seem to be into Fantasy (anymore) is because 90% of the stuff they[Japanese publishers] put out nowadays is made to appeal specifically to a certain male clientele.
Interesting to note that there are still fantasy manga/anime with female leads, and Isekai, which are fairly popular. Besides that, books like 'A Court of Thorns and Roses' shows that women have just as much of an interest in Fantasy as men do.

Women aren't into fantasy in Japan because it's probably heavily associated with sexualized male wish fulfillment, which most women see as misogynistic.

Probably some of the best fantasy manga on mangadex have female leads, like Frieren. I'm sure there are loads of great fantasy stories coming out today that either get rejected by editors or just don't sell well because they aren't power fantasy wish fulfillment stuff that appeals to that specific male demographic
