Because language itself is fluid

Yah, that Japanese are thorough because they actually made an industry out of it.... so they had financial reasons and a corporations to standardize things.

On the other hand, in the West, it was a bunch of different people who had no connection, might not speak the same language, and varied in age randomly using terms....

And nobody could standardize because nobody was really connected... and the terms ended up being more fluid in the West.

And by the time we had corporations and sh*t like that take over, it was kinda too late for standardization....

That said... it really isn't that big of a deal...

In place of having proper standardization, the websites instead use a lot of tags instead.... so it works out fine anyways....

And it can't be helped because they were terms made popular through the internet by too many people.

I don't understand why you are so offended, isn't it normal that words translated or loaned to our language.... and when it isn't standardized, it instead evolves...

But the truth is, we don't actually have a need for that standardization either.

The big companies did because they were selling actual products on the shelves... but we are reading for free on the net... we could add as many tags as we want without any trouble, actual stores can't do that....
it's NOT too late for standardization since there's enough people that DO know the right way to use the terms. cause it didn't happen just yesterday that these were established and always kept the same meaning.
fakku is working as a legit business for 9 freaking years already. others like project hentai are even older.
here's a nice explanatory blog article from irodori explaining the differences between the subgenres:
https://blog.irodoricomics.com/the-day-of-betrayal-introduction-to-ntr/
sadly the first image that explains the three main ntr subgenres is busted, so i reupped it to imgur:
as you can see, the blog article is also two years old already. and the only thing that was relatively new at the time was bss. the three ntr terms had long been established and correctly translated by those that know fucking japanese way before that.

and what irks me is that by staying ignorant (and not "language evolving" lol) "cause it's too late," you feed this crap to other people that parrot it to even more people. there ARE sources out there. just google them and find them.

You say "right way" but those sources aren't done by full authorities and don't need to be taken seriously.

Also, saying it's a "right way" doesn't work because a small group can't just randomly decide for the whole internet...

That isn't how language works. Language is more of an art than a science. It's something that constantly evolves and changes. It's something fluid... it's abstract.

And in the long run, they don't matter... because finding what you want isn't that hard.

Though I will admit that the Netorase and Netori versions are taken that way. It's NTR itself that's used loosely....

Which is fine, quite a lot of human language was used loosely for most of human history.

bro, the point is that's how a JAPANESE ARTIST (he's called bose and has a doujin circle called loose) defines it vs. RANDOM WEEBS THAT DON'T KNOW JACK SHIT about the language. so it's neither art nor science if you CAN'T SPEAK AND, MORE IMPORTANTLY, UNDERSTAND IT. it's simply GIBBERISH. same goes for these wacko definitions you brought up. in fact, it was YOU who necro'd the thread by trying to force your fake definitions on me and trying to correct me and saying it's "unfair."

and from the VERY START did i say that it's NOT randomly decided, but these terms have been used in THE SAME WAY for YEARS - by the JAPANESE COMMUNITY at least. and that's what counts since it's THEIR LANGUAGE. taking random foreign words and pooping out random definitions is simply called IGNORANCE.

and i haven't heard about any disagreements in the JAPANESE COMMUNITY over the use of the ntr genres. so it's not "a small group," but "the people that matter" that use the terms this way. but if you have any CREDIBLE sources like japanese language twitter convos or blog articles or anything of the sort that show disagreement over the use of the ntr term in japan, i'll happily correct my ways. until then i simply call bullshit and blatant ignorance on your part.

Here is the thing, that's the JAPANESE word NTR, not the English word that was taken from the Japanese....

Meaning it's now a different word in our language than in theirs.... ours is BASED off their word.

That's how language works. We borrow and adapt words from each other.

if you use a foreign word to describe the very same thing that natives do with said word (i.e. a type of hentai manga genre), but alter it ever so slightly to fit your narrative (i.e. to mean the cheating genre in general instead of a very specific type of cheating), then that's not "borrowing and adapting words" lmfao

it's simply the most idiotic argument i've ever seen to trick yourself into thinking you're right, even for the incredibly low standards of the internet. if you adapt a word into your language, it's gets a whole new meaning in that language. otherwise it's easier to simply borrow the word from the original language as is with the spelling, pronounciation and meaning left intact. and that's what most languages do, unless you're ignorant of course and try to push your agenda on the internet.

so here's my advice: get off the internet for a while, touch some grass, smoke some blunts and rethink life. if that doesn't help, just stick to your head canon and be happy with it. but i'm out.
