You know, I like how April was actually skilled enough to escape on her own and actually managed to make way to contact her brother. It shows that she's resourceful and has a good understanding of things to be able to analyze her situation and work out a method to get through. Of course, the only downside is that they used a magical plot barrier to prevent her resourcefulness from working out.

isn’t the demon god basically one of his coworkers? Can’t he just go up to the gods and knock on the demon gods door and ask for help dealing with his followers which are currently killing children?
