[ul]- Yan An needs to stop teasing him too much, otherwise, baby Qian Han is gonna get mad and revel XD (at times I feel he's gonna run away from Yan An and others I feel he really wants to take care of her and others that he wants to love her as well, my boy's feelings are complex and I get it).
- Oh geez, I almost forgot the ending of the last chapter, it really makes me despise the 1st Princess even more. I hope she'll die but mmm, what happens with a royal harem if the Prince/Princess die? Will they still be supported by the royal money or the money that their Princess/Prince had or they'll be returned to their families (if they have)?
- Harems are really difficult tbh, but at least Yan An is honest about what she can give and aware of all the people who are inside of her palace, and that's something that the Empress can't tell, for example.
As for the young guys who're also her concubines, I don't think they can't do much about it anymore. Maybe they didn't plot against Yan An like the ones who left her palace before, but they certainly weren't for her when she needed them, just Fei Yue was there, and that's why he's so beloved and why she won't give them more than money and gifts. I do feel both sides made their choices in their time and the chance just got away ( I do really like the personality of the black-haired concubine tho), so there's no way to come back to try to build up a relationship. But with any new husband, it'll be different. If they get close to Yan An and have the opportunity to marry her, all of them will have a chance to know what their marriage will be like and what she'll give beforehand. She won't make empty promises and she'll fulfill what she says, and if someone really decides to get closer to her with their open hearts, she'll be equally loyal even if she can't love them. Maybe that doesn't fulfill a heart's desires, but certainly it won't make them feel empty, useless, and lonely like many other men in the Empress harem, for example.
Under a royal harem situation and considering the kind of relationship men usually have in this country, Yan An is being pretty respectful of them. Probably Qian Han can't fully understand this situation yet, but he's so lucky to have met her (just as Yan As is so lucky to have met him) and I hope he can realize that soon. Who else would have given him the opportunity to decide his future in a different way than just dying? Just look at the 1st Princess' consort, he's being abused non-stop and he has to endure everything just because now that he's married, he can't escape.
- Ahahahaha I love Butterfly, he's the classical consort dramatic type (before it was hilarious how Zi Zhao was the only one thinking in competition for his wife's heart but now that Fei Yue tasted the sweetness of reciprocal love and now he doesn't want to lose, lmao). xDDD I just love all Yan An's men hahaha, they're awesome. >u<[/ul]

It honestly is uncomfortable to see either in this kind of position where the only way they can survive is to marry off and become a member of a harem with a person they don't love.
To say these members of her harem have "chosen this life" is more like a false dichotomy where the alternate choice can't even be counted as a choice because it is way worse.
It's one thing if MC understands this is the kind of world she is living in now and understands there is only so much she can do. But it's another that she feels no sense of empathy at all for these other people despite coming from the present. Regardless of the situation, she IS from the present and was educated with contemporary values; but she is fairly quick to throw those away since the current society benefits her. Would she have been okay with it if the situation was reversed? ... Oh wait, that's the world she came from. I don't see her talking about consequences and whatnot then.
So yeah, IDK.
