LOL i don't think there's any horror stories about it yet but apparently one hotel will let you stay for like a dollar a night b/c they live stream things 24/7 (minus the bathroom/shower), i imagine with the gimmick it's prolly hard to get a booking tho

IDK if 'stigmatized properties' are as much of a thing in the west (bc if the neighborhood's been around for long enough there's bound to be places where the last tenant died for whatever reason [if anything it might be more like ppl buying the houses of former serial killers?]) but I imagine the equivalent would be living 'in the ghetto' part of your area/dangerous neighborhoods and such tho depends on how well you'd blend in so ppl don't think you have anything worth stealing to mug you/break into your car and such

I had a conversation on the bus stop one spring about a local who had OD:d and died in the snow. Was found by an elementary schooler of all people. Would much rather deal with "stigmatized" than thinking if your phone "walks" away from your car, while you go fetch something from your place you forgot.

The streaming hotel is closed cause it doesn't make money. Nobody wants to watch sleeping people so the owner didn't get any money from the stream and the cost piled up

You know I could tolerate the residual hauntings of moist elderly people, but the lack of air conditionining... No thanks.
