So the director is going blind to add to the drama that is Eren's life

Yeah Koichi is really turning into a side character, but then again even if we follow the story as told from his perspective, at the end of the day the manga is named after Eren

This chapter was more impactful than previous ones graphically speaking, and it is not just because of the double spread page which was really good, but also because of the dynamics between pages, like Koichi screaming to Eren, or Eren extending her arm over the rails, which in a way feel like double spread pages too

Which are all details that are missed when reading in long strip mode

Anyway the setting combination for this chapter are double page, and read right to left (no need to offset double spreads this time)

Lovely chapter. It was easy to initially assume that Eren and Koichi just had some sort of one-sided rivalry and it fizzled out, but now it's starting to get reinterpreted as Koichi trying to save Eren. It's possible that they went their separate ways under very different circumstances - not as "glad to never see you again" but "thank you for making me see the joy in painting again". Or anything in-between really.

The decision to show the future first was so damn good, it adds so much drama when you know they split up in the end.
