My personal opinion is that the glute bridge or hip bridge is more suited to complete beginners than deadlifting, because the movement completely isolates the hip hinge that she's talking about.

It's also proofed against utilizing the lumbar, so there's practically no risk of injury if you're doing purely bodyweight. The only thing to watch out for is to brace the shoulders against the floor rather than the base of the neck.

Even if her narrow waist is exaggerated it wouldn't look so weird if she had visible hips.

All the people shitting on proportions, yet there are actual people that look like that (and it's scary AF)... Don't believe me? Here's one such example on Youtube.
It claims natural, but that clearly looks like it's been trained through excessive use of a corset.
Given that while the stomach sits higher up(more around the bottom of the ribs), her intestines must be fucked up

There's plenty of other people who have obtained similar proportions whose pictures you can find online, including those with a more natural-looking curvature from chest to waist to hips, but still within the same general proportions.

Here's the thing: that lady in the video may have a tiny waist, but her rib cage curves in to it and then flares out again to meet the hips.

For the FMC, it's wide shoulders, then really small straight torso, then wide hips. That's why it looks so unnatural.
