Was a fun read and I liked the characters even though a majority of them get shafted throughout the series which is a shame.

Actually, this was the first Adachi Mitsuru manga I read, years ago on onemanga.com. It turned me into an instant fan. As a humourist, Adachi Sensei is up there with the greatest of the mangaka. As an artist, he is predictable (he even mentions this in his works). As a story teller, he's like a Japanese version of America's western author Louis L'Amour. The man can tell a story. As the fourth-wall-breaking mangaka and his ability to make fun of himself, there is none greater. No one breaks the fourth wall better, and no manga artist I've yet come across stabs himself in the back with greater acumen and humour than he does. My dad always told me that the ability to laugh at yourself is the mark of a mentally stable person, and that any truly great person has to have that ability. I can't make a complete judgement, never having met Adachi Sensei personally, but he has lots of the criteria to not only be a great mangaka and writer, but a great person also. Read this manga: It is funny; it has a good story line, it has good characters; and it has a message that our present era could definitely listen to. The man ROCKS!
