By the way, I think the other translation of this out there messed up and translated "old friend" as "former wife" or something to that effect. The term in question is 故人, which literally means "person of the past", and because of that a 故人 can be an old friend, a deceased family member or friend, a former lover or wife, or even an enemy or rival. Given that, the best translation for 故人 is probably old acquaintance. However, in this manhua, the term 故人 is used interchangeably with 老朋友 or just 老友, which means old friend.
