There is an anime, 6 episodes and a movie covering the episodes with a few things different. In particular the closing credit of the movie give more background to the story. The anime is good in my opinion, the story was not the usual take on android in many ways.

I just finished the OVA. It was really sweet, and I want more of this.
They never really explained the story of the coffeeshop owner🙁
