I love the politics of this. Even if its kinda understated, I loved the part about "developed nations" (western colonialists) selectively giving out weapons and stirring up secterian violence to extract natural resources that aren't theirs. Reminds me of the Iran-Oraq war where both belligerents were armed by the U.S. at some point. Of course now they are growing so desperate to cling to power they are having their little zionist lapdog run amok...

Usually manga depictions of the "middle east" (West Asia) are way less differentiated, its just hurr durr terrorists being savages because its their Oriental nature.

This is awesome. I’m glad to see a return to the girl from chapter 1 and all these other new kids. The explicitly political & global nature of this chapter is really well done. Exploitation of Africa (I think this is intended to be the DRC?) by developed nations, the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Islamic extremists in Syria — it’s some real shit.

2. A deep hatred of the world.
