God this is awesome. If I just completely forget the anime's existence I enjoy this manga so much more.

hm.... this could end up being bad both for Akira realizing what he did to Elmira, how the rest of the team view him and relations between Japan and the USA it Akira ends up dropping the bomb on NORAD instead... it looks like the only person who will truly win is that Vietnamese gangster.

Funny, how Molau got executed the same way, by the very weapon, he used to execute others. Irony at it’s finest.

On an unrelated note: I’ve learned that Volume covers contain some clues as to what it’ll be about. Most you only understand with hindsight, though:

• Volume 2 has the same “Kazahana” chopper that Minami and Alam pilot in the final confrontation with the priest.

• The background on Volume 3’s cover shows the special zone, which is where the arc mostly takes place.

• Volume 4’s cover has Alma holding OGRE’s arm, representing it’s debut. The background features a shot of the Earth from space, along with a satellite. Maybe Akira did his hacking here, by connecting to a satellite, after hijacking the damaged APC’s network.

• Volume 5 has Alma in a school uniform in a classroom. Wonder what that’s all about. Did an EX-ARM make it into a school? There’s also a ring with runes around her. I think this means that Ygdrassil, a character that was mentioned once in the previous arc (working at Iriya Heavy Industries), will appear.

• Volume 6 is casino themed. So we’ll have an arc that revolves around a casino?

• Volume 7 is the most ambiguous one. I can’t guess what it’s about.

• Volume 8 seems to be an auction, based on the Volume name being “Auctioneer”. It’ll probably have our protags infiltrate an underground (illegal) auction where an EX-ARM will be up for grabs to the highest bidder.

• The rest seem to be the climactic finale to the series.

You are all too focused on the bomb and thinking that he will use it but i'm pretty sure they are just saying that they can't launch it and that the plane is actually used as an access point for hacking NORAD. As for why he hack NORAD? Just to mess with GPS which was originally a U.S department of defence project and make Elmira who is dependent on it to shoot herself

I’m curious as to what the significance of targeting NORAD is

In his uncontrolled rage,
Previous chapters explained that the gynoid was using GPS to do targeting.

After blowing up NORAD, the maid's targeting system immediately failed and she hit herself.

I highly suspect that the two are directly linked.
