Depends on where their loyalties lie. Mr. Priest is in the situation to be the most emotionally devastated no matter what happens.

They have fond memories of their time with Imuri, but it's hard to have those memories untained when their entire premise is based on emotionally manipulating Mr. Priest.

And poor Leah, she was already tricked by a demon to eat her brother. So I can see her being especially harsh on Imuri.

I think you are not giving them enough credit.

I feel they did a sober assessment of the risks a demonic Imuri poses and decided it was too much of a risk to Mr. Priest's well being.

Plus they have no realistical narrative reason to protect her. Imuri isnt exactly repentant. She wants to make Mr. Priest happy, which is "good", but by her own words after she makes him fall, which is probably jot good.

The demons in general raise some good points about human depravity and hypocrisy but the demons aren't trying to make things better. They actively cultivate depravity, while trying to put a semi noble spin on it.

Damn, I thought that's just some petty priest that wants power, but man is out here playing 4d Chess 🤨 Also, that boy is kinda useless no ? In the beginning he said, if they're too weak he can't find them and, if they're too strong he can't either, but since he's stronger than any demon that's not a lord he can't find any of them.. but all demon Lords can hide so he can't find them either 😐
