As much as I loved eyeshield, this feels so weak.

This is a fine callback to Eyeshield 21. But all it feels like is a callback, no real substance, and just a way of remembering "Oh yeah, I did do a manga about a really fast kid who plays football!". Every other character besides Sena and Yoichi just feels like a cameo more than anything. Yamato, who could counter devil bat ghost and all after image plays just by tackling every single after image at the same time, who Sena literally invented a new technique to beat, is done in by the same thing he counters, just more of it. Even Agon, a player who can react to pretty much anything the moment that it happens, is beaten by just being juked better. I am only so harsh on this oneshot because I love the source material so much, and this doesn't live up to it the way I wish it did.
