Antagonazing this much in a sport manga... This is just... awful to read. Agon seems so flat as a character for the moment, i will look forward for his developpement.

I love how they set this up: to pit agon, a genius who lacks determination, againsts yukimitsu, an ordinary fellow who only has determination. Its the iconic battle of Talent vs hard work. That said, i am glad that yukimitsu finally gets to get on the field but I wonder how is he going to fare against agon? The kantou tournament arc put a lot of focus on the games and barely none outside the game. They also kinda retconned riku and eyeshield 21(is akaba really ES tho?) into the story. It wasn't my favourite arc to say the least. But it also made me wonder what kind of training yukimitsu has done in the meanwhile. Yukimitsu is gonna go on the offensive but he isn't fast nor does he have a lot of power so how does determination help? Endurance? Is he gonna get beat up? His indomitable will would help fend off the shinryuuji's attacks?
And is it just me or did yukimitsu get a glowup as well? Seems everybody had a haircut, neat detail.
Yukimitsu had always been one of my favourite characters, hes really well written. He had a lot more impact in comparison to komusubi and the huh brothers, even though they were more capable than him. Tbh, he kinda had more mc vibes than sena. He had more downs than he had ups but he never gave up. He had more forehead than he has hair but he doesnt mind. Also hes pretty smart. Maybe thats how hes going to win against agon. But agon is said to be a genius as well so maybe not... There is also somebody elze like yukimitsu in the shinryuuji and that is ikkyu, so it kinda seems like its just going to come to a net negative. But Yukimitsu has always been observing the matches, he must have thought of some countermeasures.
Sorry for the rant. Also i mixed up unsui with ikkyu, ikkyu is the mole guy and unsui is the older brother
