I went to a private college in the south and graduated with my BA in music (composition) in four years, despite majoring in cannabis with a minor in Jack Daniels. Good times. Got through the system just before it started getting really weird, based on talking with some of my classmates who got advanced degrees and pursued professorships.

That's sounds like something you put for children unwilling to work to get their degrees. My autistic acquaintance with ADHD put more effort on his assignment, read multiple journals even when he got distracted easily which cause his journal reading time went from normal one hour (without in-depth analysis and comprehension) to three hours.

I have no idea why I am getting triggered by poor academic ethics.

This reminds me of that time when I got A in databases even though I only showed up for the very first lecture.

As it turned out, the final exam was a group("class") project so the professor simply gave everyone in it an A, not even checking attendance or who actually participated.

Presumably because that's the word that was used.

Japanese family structure has dedicated words for the eldest sons and daughters, the second through fifth of each, and the youngest child. Even without getting into sibling hierarchy stuff, "this woman is the youngest child in her immediate family and has no older sisters" provides information that suggests things about how she was raised.

Now you're getting it. Unless it's certifications for actual jobs or specialties, most of those classes are BS. I did my college, spent lots of time in the job that I got during college, spent some time job hunting but I got on the job market when a certain economic crash happened and killed the economy... and now I found a job that only needed a high school diploma but pays WAY better than the job I had for a long time.

I'm now finally making college level pay for a job that just needed high school. With benefits. With pension. Imagine that.

It's... kinda maddening when you stand back and look at it all. This is where we've gotten to.

It's not just the academic ethics. It's... the entire system and how it works with all the other systems.
