Spoiler: Why Touka is so hesitant about romance

His horrible, abusive parents liked having sex anywhere and everywhere in the house, regardless of whether Touka was around. That put him off romance and sex. He knows that this is an irrational bias, but it's pretty ingrained in him. Essentially, Seras is offering to overwrite his bad experience with a good experience.
