XD i love that the head made invented trading cards to encourage higher work quality.

@Walter_vi_Britannia depends on the royal family really. some liked having their pictures shown around the kingdom as a sort of bragging rights and others only allowed authorized paintings which may never have left the palace or high importance place during their life time. generally most western royals / nobles didnt mind showing off their paintings if it was good enough.
