Im struggling to get over their age difference and that this is romantic when she's still a child.

@flowers_and_hearts No need for that, I don’t think their age gap is more than 7 years and that aside manny young women get married to a guy who is older than them with at least 6/7 years I know manny who where married to a guy who is 10 years older than her LOL 😂

Their age gap is 15 years xD she just turned 12 and he's 27. You can read that in chapter 1

The problem here is that she's not even in puberty while he's a fully functioning adult with adult worries and responsibilities. They practically live in different worlds if you'd go by age. You could say that she's luckily over 30 years old mentally. But physically....

Technically, girls hit puberty earlier than guys, most on average have hit it by 12. Now, it's still messed up. Still way too soon, just, physically, yea, average girl will have hit puberty by then.

Gotta remember, average were having kids by 13/14/15 back in the distant past (hell, gross at it is, youngest ever mother was ~5 years old, yep....).

Anyways, yea, age gap wouldn't bother me if she was 20 and he was 35 lol. But being 12 and 27? Eww.

Haha this is giving me conflicted feelings, like no one finds it weird that she's so young??? and they're even encouraging romance between the two..haha so weird....

I have no opinion about the age gap if the prince wait until she's 18 to do 'husband and wife' things.
I wonder why the girls transmigrated into other worlds usually love making sweets and can make them as if they're pro. While I am, able to make instant noodles and cat's wet food (but my cats dislike them and don't even want to sniff :( )

okay, I was "okay" with the age gap since usually kings are waaaay older than their queens, but that good night was creepy...

I honestly think this is cute. Sure, some are encouraging "romance" in a way, but I see it as a way to avoid him seeing her as a little sister since they are supposed to be husband and wife. None of them likely expect nor want any intimate nights to occur between the two till she is older, but because of how much older he is, or rather because of how young she still is, it's important that he doesn't develop the wrong mindset and feelings when it comes to her or it could develop potential emotional complications between the two when she is finally of age. Him not seeing her as a woman and instead as his little sister once she is an adult could hurt her self-esteem greatly, and they could have issues where he doesn't want to bear children with her because of the way he sees her as his sister, among other complications. Also, he does need to spend more time with her to get to know her better. Clearly he knows her well enough to notice the change in her behavior and favor her current personality, but he likely rarely spends any quality time with her.

As for the good-night whisper, I think it was quite endearing. It was the whisper meant for a child made by an adult that cares for them dearly, and her grabbing his cloak was also quite cute. Probably would have been better if he gently patted her head and visibly tucked her in or something to better convey the intent to readers.
