I read this on a different site and it randomly stops in the 690s and has small scenes from later in the story one after another and then the very end of the book. Then just ends. it is like reading the harry potter books until book 5 then having small paragraphs of dumbledor leaving, harry finding the hidden passage, them taking the evil teacher to the forest, harry's uncle getting hit and falling into the mirror, them moving harry away from his house with death eaters attacking, harry finding the sword, Neville cutting the snake, then harry seeing off his kid at platform 9 3/4. with no other context.

Don't worry, when you get to the end, you are gonna hate the manga too for the reason vodspod mentioned.

(It's still really good tho so do keep reading if you haven't read all the chapters.

Same. The pace of the story went up exponentially.
The manga adaptation was allegedly axed, but I couldn't find a good explanation of what happened.

Probably the anime adaptation with its VERY different art direction?

Another case I can think of is Isekai Shokudo Nekoya got a reboot to be closer to the anime artstyle.
