Nah nah nah, if we talkin about sexy. It should be lace panties with garterbelts with kneesocks and ribbons.
my cultured fellows, i put to you...oversized tee + "are they actually there" pajama shorts.
:meguusmug:

*edit: garters are hot, as are kneesocks, but you know what? We can live without lace. They're scratchy and absolutely ass to launder and keep well.

Quick question, if anyone has the answer. Part way through the series some of the pronouns switched from him/her to they. Does anyone know if this was a change in the original Japanese as well, or just a change in how it is being translated? I cannot tell if it was a deliberate change by the author (presumable reflecting a measure of character development and shifting perspectives) or just a quirk the translation process.

Also, somewhat tangentially, if it is just a difference in translation, and it comes down to some kind of linguistic quirk, I would be happy to know a little more about that if anyone had any insight and could spare the time to share. I know nothing about the Japanese language, and the idea that there might be ambiguity in how this is translated has poked at my curiosity.

Japanese does not use gendered pronouns, so it is entirely a translator choice. They have a lot of ways to say "you" and "i/me" which is fun and interesting and carries some gendered implications, though.

The mechanical eye spider thing(?) was the elf chief's sword, right? I wonder if she's about to join them on the big breakout.

You guys are all aiming for things that aren't currently available. Jinguuji should instead be wearing shorts with one of Tachibana's male shirts.
