I agree with the they/them stuff, Tachibana and Jinguuji have been nothing but conflicted with Tachi's gender the whole story. It's a gender swap story for a reason.

I definitely say it's a symbol of Jinguuji beginning to recognize that while Tachibana is a girl now, they're still his Childhood BFF and his respect for them has only grown stronger now that he needs to protect them.

I'm still rooting for a romance to blossom, but if they keep the "bromance" route, I can't complain as both are equally compelling and make sense as far as their character tropes have shown so far.
