Well.. from where I am _{(somewhere near yours on the world map, actually.)} and as far as I remember, and if not mistaken it started counting from 0 after deliveries. It really do varies from countries, huh...

taken from a quick search (please. really. take this with a grain of salt) stated that "in japan, it varies from people, and the one that start to count from 1 tend to be from an older generation and nowadays usually started from 0."
Honestly, it really is better to ask a japanese or someone knowledgeable about this instead to clarify whether which is right, since it really is a bit confusing.

@Myst and @manga_follow_75743857 yeah, must be a Japan thing, in the US we count months, they will be x months, until the first birthday, then they will be 1. The baby is never zero here, we'll count minutes, days, whatever.
