Outstanding paneling admist a lot of maudlin self-indulgence. The best ones are when the story is broken by the mangaka (sometimes Shotaro, mostly Jun) trying to draw the thing.
Movies are clearly a huge influence on Shotaro, with some images being a direct homage of what was on the screen.
The English translation has some grammatical problems, with the translator not understanding how uncountable nouns work.
But the translation doesn't matter, because so much of this series is told in art, not words.
Recommended if you can tone down the cynic and critic in your heart.
