Also I like Nero's characterization here. It shows the tyrant part of Nero and Roman army who plunder and devour her enemies. And I also like the part as how she wonder what lies beyond that. The miracle impossible future that shines brighter than Roman brutality. The star that lies beyond filthy mud.

I expect that Boadicea would never say that if she thought that Nero would remember any of this afterwards. I wonder if she's going to be right about that.

I kind of hope she isn't.

You might think its weird that Boudica says love here, but I think we'll need to see what she actually means in next chapter. Obviously it doesn't mean she fallen in love with Nero or anything. She might just talking of herself as loving person, her true self before her tragedy happens. Instead of falling into her vengeful self she manages to stay true to her heroic and loving self. As a mother and a hero. The former can be tied to Nero's character who has mother complex, and also in this chapter questioning what love means.
