What a messy situation.. imo Yi Wang and Liu Yue should leave the country to solve this issue behind the back. If Yi Wang isn't present, they can't force their princesses to marry a man that isn't there.
P.S. It's unfortunate though knowing that the author dropped the series halfway and we'll likely never get to see the ending.
