Axed, chop chop chop!! So sad.... NOT. Plot progression was ridiculously slow and mc is a cuck soy boy, talk first, friend power nonsense. People are fighting for their lives and he's like "nah bruh... peace *inhale weed* peace...."

so my theory is that, since Yousuke never actually got taken over, the two souls were both dwelling inside a single body in a sort of supernatural balance and at the end there the real Jormungandr took in the poison and left as much of his own power as Yousuke could withstand behind before being consumed and disappearing, sort of a "look after my sister for me" gesture, and as a result MC got active control of that power but kept his own personality
and as for why Jormungandr would do such a thing, perhaps he recognized the MC's will for peace and acceptance of all supernatural beings, but due to his own nature couldn't carry out such a thing, and thus chose to entrust MC with power in the hopes of that vision coming to be

Talk about an abrupt ending which doesn't even resolve everything.

Guess this is what happens when you get axed...

The author took too long time to get into hype so no wonder people are getting bored before it's getting interesting, it's mainly because the pace feels sluggish. People here reading the scanlation for free might not remember that japanese people need to buy the manga with money and they might not feel too much interest to spend money to something that's not interesting enough even after a few volumes of book.

I've considered dropping this the last few times a new chapter came out, it just wasn't that interesting. It wasn't bad exactly, just meh. Thankfully, publisher-san made the choice for me.

I found it quite enjoyable and want to kick publisher-san in his greedy little testicles.

Alas. It was made of 100% cliché, but I liked it all the same. It'll be missed.

I suppose it's best not to establish literally world-ending stakes when you don't know if your series will even make it past its first full arc.

Better to have an ending then to end without one in the middle of an arc, I suppose. I'll miss this.
