Huh, so they kinda got an arrangement to pick the girl (akari) and still being unfriendly to her? I'm reminded of the japanese corporate bullying thing where they sent someone to do nothing so they would resign, in this case the other parents are just going to be (ramping up the) nasty until someone snaps.
