Yeah I know that reporter girl is doing things for her greater good or whatever, but the snooping is still annoying me because I feel it'll come back to bite MC or Maria in the ass later

okay good so far. she's a major character thats gonna be part of another story arc behind the political investigations of the school and its mystery. Author should've started this alongside the chapters where they're focusing on the other fight class characters as to keep us on our toes. im noticing some wasted chapters of other characters being put on spotlights like the other Ranking C class fighters but they dont seem to be characters that will be used in writing in the future. Lots of filler stuff. they can easily explain the derankings with Tae young instead and nothing is lost.
