Really nice chapter. With all the hints we've gotten so far about MC's dad I lean to think he's the person secretly in charge of training the Fight Class 3 students. Now that we know he went to the school during the "Dark Ages", Is pretty obvious he's definitely involved with the school in some type of way. The reason he was sent to kill Maria's family was related to the school and Vale Tudo so there's that too.
I also wonder what happened to that third-year student. She seems to be someone important to Coach Jang. It looks like she was against her going to Fight Class 3. Maybe she died?

@gptemp8916 You're probably right. There have been a lot of hints about the dad being involved with Fight Class 3 in some shape or form.
Back in Ch. 11 Maria told Ji-tae she had already found his father, but that "average people can't meet him.
She also mentioned that the only way to get to him was getting in Fight Class 3
Maybe she tried to take her revenge when she went there, only to fail "miserably" as she put it.

@agtra i would want jiu tae be able to stand on his own. Obviously shouldnt be op immediately but be able to handle thigs without fear. Until he gets into another barier that he needs to train.
I am far more interested in maria and him connecting emotionally as right now their relationship is very undercover and not explored

Okay so I've seen everyone talk about fight class 3 and the characters and theories and I really want to talk about it too. So here I go.
1) I believe that Maria and Lee ja-kyung have fought in fight class 3, Lee was s-1 and therefore wasn't there when Maria destroyed the 3rd years (s-2 to a-4). I believe that either Maria was curb stomped and lost or that she was curb stomped but managed to kill Lee, either way she was so too hurt to challenge ji-tae's dad. I also think Lee does muay Thai but that's just me.
2) Characters. Hamin is annoying, Maria already rejected him so he needs to take a hint, there was no need to challenge her especially when he knew he was going to lose, he put himself in depression. Tae young is lovely but I want to see her fight against the A-rankers, against baram, so wol. I need proof that she's actually strong, all I've seen is great art showcasing her moves, not her defeating formidable opponents except boxer girl by reflex. I think gi baram has a temper. A temper so intense that his master came all the way to the ranking matches to make sure that he wouldn't use his secret techniques. Either way, It has to be more than "oh, don't use martial arts for anything other self defense" BS. If that was the case then his master wouldn't have let him enter namil in the first place, it's an MMA class, self defense isn't there, violence is. Gi baram has something going on and I am so hopeful and ready for that to be explored. Cha so wol is queen of everything, you will all see why soon. That is all.
3) ji Tae is doing just fine, everyone needs to leave him alone. This manga is popular, there's no reason as to why this won't be extremely long in length so let's all just wait for him to blossom.
4) Things I need.
I need Tae young and cha so wol to kiss already. I need cha so wol and gi baram to give us the best fight of the series. I need someone who isn't Maria to kick hamin's ass, simple because I don't like him. I need go baram to be gay, it would make so much sense and the manga is already doing really well with representation with so wol and Kang Yuri. I need to know what happened to Maria in fight class 3.
All in all, this is by far my favourite manga. Thanks always to the translators.

I really like your theory about Maria fighting Lee Ja-kyung when she was in Fight Class 3. Just a little observation about the timeline: The incident that got the second year expelled was back in Maria's freshman year so it must have happened when Lee Ja-kyung was in her second year.
Maria killing Lee is an interesting angle and would give more depth to Coach Jang's animosity towards Maria, but I doubt that's actually the case since the current student records have Lee as a third-year student A possible explanation as to why she wasn't expelled with the rest of her classmates would be that she joined Fight Class 3 at some point during her freshman year. Being a member of Class 3 would grant her "immunity" since we know the school makes a lot of money out of the Vale Tudo fights.
I also really dig your take on the characters. I personally have no issue with Ha-min but is true that most of his problems are caused by his own account. Eventually moving on from Maria would be a step in the right direction for his character. I also hope we get to see Tae-young against the upper-tier fighters but her mini-arc was nice and helped showcase her drive and passion. I'm also really curious about Ba-ram and agree that there has to be more about his abilities than what we've been shown so far. Same with So-wol and I can't wait to see her in action.
It's always cool to encounter readers that enjoy and appreciate the story as a whole and go in-depth about the narrative and characters instead of just wanting to see the MC beat everybody from the jump. @Starstorm1

Thanks. I knew about the timeline from the Lee ja-kyungs file (saying that her third year teacher was jang) and iangs memory of taking her to fight class 3. But here's the thing that confuses me. If both of these memories are to be believe d then that means Lee went to fight class 3 in her third year, and therefore had not met Maria in fight class 3 as by that point, Maria was in her second year and with ji Tae. Also, how could coach hang be her homeroom teacher if that this point she has class 1. So I definitely believe what you say in regards to them fighting whilst Lee was in second year.
I'm actually on the latest chapter so I won't spoil anything but I will tell you this. The manga really gets it shit together and it's getting good, really good.
Thanks for liking my take on the characters. I just think that the 2hakkk is both a great storyteller as well as an artist. He leaves little seeds in the earlier chapters but doesn't just forget about them, he makes them grow. I just think that he had to involved barams master for a reason. And to why I think he's gay. In the chapter when he meets ji-tae with Tae young he pulls the "I'm strong" line with a serious face, he wasn't aiming for intimidation so what if he was using the typical trope of "girls like strong guys" or in this sense "cute guys that are smaller than you, like strong guys" and therefore trying to joke and or flirt. Im probably over reaching, but I just thought it was weird thing to say and although it's slight, 2hakkk has a thing with making small things become bigger down the line. I could be wrong and he could probably be nothing, but either way I want to see him lose his temper.
I absolutely (and you will too) adore so wol, I don't know what it is about her but she just seems so badass. I was actually scared for Tae young when cha so wol pushed her friend out the way to fight her. Also, the fact that her friends, even the hothead to who bullied ji-tae, are terrified of her. I just really think these two if they go at it, will be such a good match up. Also sidenote, it could be helpful to bang Jung em (capoeira girl) in terms of character development. To explain, neither so wol (through disqualification) or baram (through his master) gave her a real fight so in some regards, her rank is kind of untrue in a sense as she was going all out against baram with the technique whilst he was only using his reflexes. I would like to see bang shocked by her strong her two opponets are and be resolved to properly earn her rank as in get stronger and or prove she's actually better than those she defeated through means other than fighting. I just think she's another really lovely character so I want to see her improve.
Im just really happy I have someone to converse with on fight class 3 as I've been dying to talk about it.

Ok. I checked back and the Fight Class 3 records seem to be from the previous year (The only file we see from the current year is Maria's 2nd-year record). This also explains why she wasn't involved in the incident between Maria and the 2nd-years the year before: It just wasn't her year lol.
Also, Coach Jang wasn't Lee Ja-kyung's homeroom teacher until her 3rd year.
We know that Maria won the 1st-semester Ranking Match in her freshman year and went to Class 3 the next semester so, for them to meet and fight in Class 3, Lee Ja-kyung must have won the 3rd years Ranking Match during the same semester Maria won hers.
The question is: Did Lee Ja-kyung managed to finish school and graduate or her going to Fight Class 3 ended up with her death at the hands of Maria? Whatever happened I'm sure we'll get a proper reveal later down the line.
100% agree. 2hakkk doesn't put stuff in the story just because (Comedy aside). He likes to put subtle hints to foreshadow events that will happen later in the series. That's why it irks me when people think him focusing on "x" character is "meaningless" or "a waste of time".
That's quite the analysis you did there on Baram btw. Not sure if he's gay or not but I wouldn't be surprised since characters like Kang Yuri, So-wol and Sung-hee (the girl who's blind in one eye) are strongly hinted to be LGTB.

I've never thought of it like that. That Lee could be two years older than her. That's interesting but either way that will be revealed.
Seeing people attack the manga because ji Tae isn't the strongest in the room, annoys me to no end, not only because he does get better but because the manga is called "fight class 3" not the ji Tae show and it's only realistic that he doesn't magically outshine them.
I'm not on discord server, honestly I have no idea what that is but it sounds cool. Also, if you want to be caught up I can give you the link that allows you to read the latest chapters in webtoon version for free. Ive currently finished reading round 70. So it's can safely say that this manga is amazing and getting better with ease. 2hakkk is really talented and consistent.
