He's turning out to be a more and more cerebral fighter as his training goes on! I didn't expect his power to be high enough at this point, but when you drop your guard like Young-joon did, it can definitely drop you regardless of power. I like all the callbacks to the other fighters, and I especially like that he finished (?) with the punch that took him out during the preliminaries, which nicely rounds out his growth for this arc.
Also not gonna lie, when he blinded Young-joon, I really thought it was gonna show the scene of Lee Sung-hee from ch 54 doing it instead of Maria, though both are nice.
I only just noticed that although he's supposed to specialise in Jiu-jitsu, he's doing much better at striking than grappling, probably cos of the volume of stand-up matches + a lot of the ground fighters sitting out fights (e.g. all the jiu jitsu specialists in D-rank). I hope we get to see some more high-level grappling in this, a la all rounder meguru.
