@ligerhero I've seen in a few xianxia, where sealing a storage ring (or another form of a dimensional storage item) is a thing, that the seal collapses immediately when the owner of the ring is dead. The seal is tied to the sealer (owner) usually by using blood. Breaking the seal by force typically requires for the thief to be of a higher cultivation level than the owner and some effort (such as refining), depending on how much cultivation difference there is.
