I'm trying to transition away from kissmanga, and the new features that mangadex offer are pretty intoxicating.
That being said, the one thing that kissmanga did right is that it automatically filtered your following/bookmark list by unread first, making it significantly easier to track updates you may have missed if you don't check the site regularly. As someone who follows a ton of manga but can't check everyday, this feature is essentially a necessity to me and honestly one of the bare minimum features I need to use for a manga/reading site.
In addition, it also seems weirdly difficult to mark chapters as read. From what I can tell, the only way to mark a chapter as read is to physically click on the chapter and return before the site acknowledges it as read. There's no easy button I can use to mark this, which is weird considering I can easily unmark something as read.
There also isn't an option where I can batch mark chapters as read as far as I'm aware, which is a really convenient feature that existed in kissmanga. Since there already seems to be a reading progress function, I'd like to suggest using that function as a way of batch marking all chapters noted as read. Kissmanga was a little lazy about this since it only allowed batch and not individual marking, but at the very least it allowed it to begin with.
Something as simple as this would be welcome:
Mangadex is easily one of the most impressive manga sites I've seen and ever since I found that reddit post that allowed me to import my kissmanga bookmarks over, I've tried to make the transition immediately from that kind of terrible site. However, they did do a few basic features very effectively that mangadex doesn't have yet, much to my and some of my friends' frustration. I'll probably be bouncing in between the two sites until these features get added, but considering what already exists, this all seems relatively easy to integrate, so I'd love to see this feature get implemented soon (if possible of course).
