Filter for Update Tab

Make a filter option which makes it so you can see only updates from a certain status, every time I open the update tab I keep seeing updates from series I have under “dropped” or “plan to read” when I’m on looking only for updates from the ones that I have under “reading”

That's what the bell is for, don't enable notifications for series you're not currently reading.
Though I agree it's a shame it doesn't automatically do that.

Yeah, unsmash that bell on titles you don't want to see updates on. Treat the category names as cosmetic rather than having inherent functionality.

Because people also complained about it the other way. In other words no one will be happy regardless of which behavior is implemented

The name of the category is just that, a name. They don't have any differences in functionality.

I've never even registered that there is a bell icon, so it's super non-intuitive to disable it when I never had to manually enable it to begin with. It also isn't the same as legacy functionality, where only 'reading' categories appeared in the updates. I'm glad the option to get these out of my feed exists, but the usability is really awkward.
