Never felt like it was a just a hook or slowly fading. Almost every chapter there's a mention of her username, Efa, or a mention about taking a picture.

She made the mistake of including a public location on social media. Now some creep must have geolocated her exact coordinates using the shape of that rock behind her and the height of the waves when the photo was taken. She was unknowingly doxxed and as a result, her account went viral.
