Ferrara? In a manga? That’s pretty sick, I live near it and I never thought it was going to happen...I’ll give this a chance.

Wow, you live in Italy? Luck you. The architecture and landscapes there are damn beautiful. And the villages, wow, your villges are so idyllic and pretty! It's a great country man. One of my favorite countries in the world aside from Japan.

@emMeBi86 you... wouldn't happen to speak Italian would you? 👀

@Minxxerias chapter 1 is currently under review, apparently. As we are a new group so MangaDex delays chapter release.

@reanseih I’m italian so yes, I speak italian...ama (but don’t take for granted that I can answer ^^” I’m not really good with grammar rules and such).

@manganime that’s true, I only made some brief trips in Europe until now in my life but I have to say that I’m lucky because my country is truly impressive, in that regard. L
I’d really like to go to Japan at least once in my life, as I see it from outside it should have some “common ground” with Italy and generally it fascinates me.

@mrmm if you haven't read it yet, there is a manga about a female explorer going around Japan when it was still just starting to open up to the West. I believe it's based on her book.

Interesting. Could you eleborate on that? I'd like to know what Italy and Japan share in common as I always thought culturally they are very different or do you mean in terms of geographical features?

This is clearly written by someone who loves the period -- but (rightfully) doesn't want to write a "realistic" story where a character like Lisa couldn't possibly do what she does here, given how much less women-friendly and much more dangerous the real Mediterranean world at the time was.

It's quite lovely, I'd say.
