one aspect of this manga and the anime adaptation that i love is the fact that the magic isn't flashy but rather down to earth.
there are ALOT of anime and manga that have magic and alot of them are shounen based using magic spells as a weapon in epic battles as such it is very over-the-top eye candy.
now this isn't to say that can't be enjoyable or that being flashy makes a anime or manga bad. its enjoyable in its own right.
that being said there isn't enough anime that uses magic or witchcraft in a slice of life setting like "Flying Witch" does.
its refreshing and soothing.

The fact that the mom's like "Who are you?!" at the start just makes it realistic and funny at the same time 😂

Kenny is cool as heck as well, just like shade. Seeing all the hair around my bedroom makes me wonder how many crows can I summon. Plus the sister is a prodigy while I'm here just chilling, I can relate to that so much.

@diidlydoo Heck yeah. The magic and the atmosphere in this manga is so chill and refreshing. It's like a breath of fresh air. I feel cozy just reading this lol.

If you like this, have you checked out 'Witch Hat Atelier'? It's has tonnes more action though. But the artwork, world-building, and the witch magic system is top-notch. It's pretty calm, warm and chill too at times. I have to say again, the artwork is crazy good. Plus I love witches and calm (somewhat realistic) magic if that isn't clear yet 😋

I wonder what would happen if you used Chito's (or Shade in this translation) hair?
