in a way with the pattern i've seen you need to point out at a few authors who make this kind of female characters simply as an early folly (literally just came from a manga where a similar character like this "suddenly" became nicer after finding out that what mc is capable of)

There is some irony in that a few days ago she told him that she and her aunt had private mercenaries working on this with the intent of undercutting the police, and pointed out that he hasn't done anything substantial of his own in his wish for revenge, but now the reaction to him doing something is this.

Which isn't to say that she's wrong to chastise him on this, as he did attack police and went rogue, but there's definitely some symmetry.
